Joining Maritime Super

Who can join

Your application will be reviewed by the Trustee for authorisation and you'll need to contribute to Maritime Super in respect of your employees. Joining is a breeze – simply select the category that aligns with your business needs using the diagram below.

Your application will be reviewed by the Trustee for authorisation and you'll need to contribute to Maritime Super in respect of your employees. The amount you will need to contribute will be different depending on which category employees join. Refer to the Employer Guides for more information.

How to join

It’s simple. You can nominate Maritime Super as your default fund for Super Guarantee contributions. This means that any eligible employee that doesn’t choose a super fund will automatically start saving with Maritime Super.

Contact us to receive an Employer Pack – it contains all you need to know about membership. Complete and return the application form that’s in the pack. We’ll let you know if your application has been accepted. Nominate authorised officers who deal with us by completing the Authorised Officer form. Nominate your employees by completing and returning the form in the pack.

Remember to nominate Maritime Super as your default fund for Super Guarantee contributions. This means that any eligible employee that doesn’t choose a super fund will automatically start saving with Maritime Super.
